Cynthia has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of industries ranging from banking, technology, and healthcare to financial services and executive search.
In her career, she has helped develop organizations from the startup stage through to the Fortune 500.
As the first full time HR professional at Geneer, a young software company, Cynthia set up organizational structure and policies, conceived a two-week boot camp for new employees, mentored the executive team, and led the hiring process of hundreds of employees through the pre IPO stage.
At Celergo, a global payroll provider, she oversaw the organization of the company’s culture into the hiring process as the organization set up operations across the globe in London, Singapore, and Budapest. Cynthia also developed “Celergo University” for internal training across the company. And she introduced behavioral assessments as a tool to help develop employee’s careers. While leading the organizational development at Celergo, the company was recognized as one of the 101 Best Companies to Work for in Chicago for 5 years (and at the national level 3 times).
At Banca di Roma, the first international domestic bank in Chicago, Cynthia was a member of the startup team for the establishment of the bank. She managed the initial staffing, defined the human resources function and initiated domestic bank operations.
As Principal of Luna Solutions, a full-service human resource consultancy, Cynthia brings her experience and passion in organizational development to young companies in need of human resources but not quite ready to hire a fulltime HR professional. She helps companies with various services via HR A’la Carte – services based on the company’s growth stage.
Cynthia holds a BA in Business and Organizational Development from DePaul University. She is certified in MBTI®, FIRO-B™, Strong Interest Inventory®, TKI®, Coaching for Results, Transition Management and Organizational Diagnosis.
